In the first week, we’ll learn about techniques such as cut-ups and parataxis by watching and discussing Chris Marker’s 1962 short film La Jetée as well as examples by Claudia Rankine and William Burroughs. You’ll also be offered a series of prompts to create your own text-image combinations. In the second week, we’ll come back to share our work with others and give and get feedback in a supportive environment! No experience necessary. Sign up in advance or register on site. Grab drinks or get signed up from 8-8:15. We’ll get started at 8:15.
